Hello Reader's of BYM, my name is Eileen Thalimer I have lived in Pittsburgh all of my life. I am 29 years young and a mother of 3 wonderful children. I just recently gave birth to my third child this past October. I am blessed to have such healthy children considering each pregnancy had it's complications. My son was a premi and was born 1 pound but now he is a healthy 10 year old boy. My 2 year old daughter was ok ;not many complications with her. With the birth of my most recent child I had low fluid with her and she was breech so they did an emergancy C- section. My children are my life.
I have been modeling now since 1998. Modeling makes me happy and I love to experience and show off many different looks. I am versitile I tend to model in all different ways from underground ,goth, classic, inpersonating and glamour. I love experimenting with my hair and makeup.
I had a younger brother who passed away at the age of 17 from cancer. he had Lukemia. My experience with that changed me as a person and I try to donate as much as I can to the cause. My family has been struck by alot of loss because of this disease. I also lost my Aunt to this disease last year. It's been a rough road my whole life, but I have managed to fight my way through.
I strive to show other people not to be afraid to be themselves. Don't let other people try to bring you down. Stay strong. Some people try to put down people they do not understand. I am also a big animal person, my pets are my babies. I have a wonderful husband who stands by me through everything I do. I love him more and more each day.
I am a very emotional person and I tend to take certin things to personal sometimes, but that is something I am working on. I am a victim of rape. I was raped at the age of 16. It was my boyfriend at the time who did it. He drugged me with something in my drink; I have also been abused by others until I met my husband and we have been together for 14 years total and married for 2 years. I want every woman out there to know don't be afraid to speak up. I was too afraid! don't ever let a man hit you or hurt you in any way. Always tell yourself your worth more than that and you don't deserve what he is doing to you, no one does. Try to seek out for help. Never be afraid to ask for help it's there if you need it.
Well, I guess that's about it! I hope that some of the things I have memtioned made some sense to some of you and maybe even helped as well.
I want to thank Kristi Taylor, the creator of this wonderful magazine for giving me such a wonderful opportunity to be a part of such a positive movement and model for BYM. I also want to thank Melvin Aber, Tavona Harper, Roberta and the rest of the staff for such a wonderful, fun filled, memorable day!
